In Summer season the bream can be found at all the bathymetrics.

While the breams up to half a kg can be found also in open water (if not too much disturbed by boats), breams of greater dimensions and weight definitely prefer more hidden areas in the rocks. The bream will be found at more calm (deep) bathymetrics during the day, while it will come close to the coast and shallow water in the early morning and late afternoon, both for the greater calm (absence of boats and bathers) and the search of food. When though the sea is rough, or better it is calming down after having been rough, it will be easy to encounter breams, also of great dimensions, in shallow water, concentrated in eating among sand and rocks, eventually in good company of other nobel sparidae, such as the gilthead sea bream.
