Subcraft is a small but very innovative Croatian artizanal company with amazing carbon fiber blades line, of which we have already well analyzed the GNP Nanotechnology blades.
Two other very interesting carbon fiber blades are the Subcraft Centurion and the Subcraft Celox F400, the latter being the bestseller by the Croatian company.
Design
For both Subcraft Centurion and Subcraft Celox F400 design is the same in the shapes and dimensions, but of course changes in the materials used. Angle between blade and footpocket is 22°, while preferred footpocket is the Pathos soft, even though Subcraft blades fit most of the footpockets on the market, as for example the always appreciated Mares among the removable ones. Flap has an accentuated centrally convex profile.
Subcraft Centurion blades
The Subcraft Centurion blades are the new model by the company. They are now softer than the previous model, but with more reactivity. You will get the best from them during the long spearfishing dives and deep dives.
Materials and manufacturing
The Subcraft Centurion blades are made of 100% carbon fiber with Spread Tow of 15mm, aerospace resin and 35-38% cabon fiber to resin ratio. Multiple layers of carbon fiber are positioned and cut in specific directions and put in double moulds with vacuum infusion and subsequent post curing at different temperatures. Surface of the Subcraft Centurion blades is highly glossy.
Subcraft Celox F400
Celox F400, Subcraft bestseller, are the allround solution for shallow water hunts and deep dives. Best “value for money” ratio, the Subcraft Celox F400 are always extremely light and reactive.
Materials and manufacturing
The Subcraft Celox F400 are made of 100% carbon fiber Twill H3, aerospace resin type, 35-38% carbon fiber to resin ratio. As for the Centurion, the Subcraft Celox F400 are made with multiple layers of carbon fiber positioned and cut in specific directions and put in double moulds with vacuum infusion and subsequent post curing at different temperatures. Surface of the Subcraft Celox F400 blades is glossy.
Warranty
Warranty on both Subcraft Centurion and Celox F400 is 3 years on breaking and lifetime on delamination.
