We interviewed the owner, Donato Carmine Rochira, to ask him what theEUDI Show represents to him.
Apnea Passion Magazine – What does the EUDI Show represent to you for the world of Apnea and Spearfishing?
Donato Carmine Rochira: For us, the EUDI Show and, more generally, the world of freediving and spearfishing, has always been a fundamental event, a reference point where to catch all the news in terms of equipment, innovations and information. It is a unique opportunity to discuss all issues related to freediving and spearfishing. From a human point of view, I have always experienced it, over the years, as a reunion of old friends and, at the same time, as a very big international event. From a business perspective, the EUDI Show is undoubtedly a tremendously valuable international showcase.
Apnea Passion Magazine – What new/key products and special offers will you be exhibiting and offering in the 2026 edition at the EUDI Show?
Donato Carmine Rochira: Our sling spearguns were born from the desire to share with other spearfishing enthusiasts the result of more than twenty years of handcrafted achievements. For many years I dedicated myself to the construction of wooden sling spearguns exclusively for passion and personal use, with the goal of always having the right weapon for every fishing situation. In recent years I have decided to make these products available to the public: thanks to computerized design, careful selection of wood, and study of shooting dynamics, I have developed a range of high-performance sling spearguns that live up to my maniacal demands.
At theEUDI Show 2026, for the large Italian and international public, our entire catalog will be big news. We have six models in the catalog, with seven or eight sizes depending on the model, covering different forms and types of propulsion, including a unique solution in the world. We will also present a new model that is more commercial, but still of excellent quality, compatible with any type of set-up and strictly with a wooden shaft. During the show we will also apply a 20 percent discount on all models, both off-the-shelf and made-to-order.
Apnea Passion Magazine – From a business standpoint, what potential do you see in the EUDI Show even in the face of this year’s excellent numbers and further strengthening with the relaunch of the Apnea Village?
Donato Carmine Rochira: Bringing together within theApnea Village everything related to freediving and spearfishing will definitely be more interesting for visitors, who will be able to find all they need without dispersion. I also believe that seeing so many artisans come together represents a real renaissance for our industry. From a business point of view, the EUDI Show remains a great international showcase, capable of giving concrete visibility to artisanal realities like ours and further strengthening the entire industry.
