Samir Tiblali has wanted to test the Meandros b32 speargun, already awarded by Apnea Passion as the best double circular bands speargun on the market, winning the Best Choice 2025. Samir has confirmed the award, commenting: “It’s an absolutely lethal speargun!”.
First impressions
The Meandros b32 is a beautifully designed speargun. The attention to detail and the extreme precision of the finishes are immediately noticeable. All components—including the handle, muzzle, barrel and reel—are of excellent quality.
Performance in the water
The speargun is extremely light, almost comparable to a carbon model. The bands are easy to load while still providing excellent power and shaft speed. The trigger mechanism is exceptionally smooth and intuitive.
No adaptation period is required: the Meandros b32 feels natural and comfortable from the very first shot.
The only compromise
The only compromise, evident due to the 32 mm diameter barrel, is a slightly reduced lateral manoeuvrability (for greater manouvrability Meandros offers the b28 – Editor’s note
). This may be noticeable only in specific conditions, for example when spearfishers are hunting in strong swell.
However, it does not affect my Mediterranean spearfishing techniques, including gliding descents, hole hunting and ambush hunting. So, finally, it’s an absolutely lethal speargun, I love it!
