1.4 – 1.7 – 2.0 and 2.5
A wide range of diameters are available for the Deep Blue Hi-Tech Dyneema line: 1.4, 1.7, 2.0 and 2.5 mm. These have respectively an indicated breaking load of 250, 400, 500 and 650 Kgs. Any need can be satisfied, both for the use on our reels that for the making of strong and long lasting Dyneema wishbones.
Mechanical characteristics
Waxed and rigid
The Deep Blue Hi-Tech Dyneema lines appear to be waxed superficially, and this can generate a better water penetration both as line for the reel and as wishbone.
No entanglements
The rigidity is also higher than normal Dyneema lines, so that entanglements are avoided. Such solution gives the opportunity to use the line with a direct connection to the shaft. No need to use the additional monofilament that some of us normally ad at the end of the line to connect the shaft and avoid entanglements.
Higher resistance to abrasion
The resistance of the Hi-Tech Dyneema line is extremely high and the advantage compared to the monofilament is also that it is much more resistant to abrasion against rocks, the real enemy of monofilament.
Higher resistance to sharp edges
The reduced wear also applies in the segments of the line passing inside the shaft and being inserted in the box of the release mechanism, both often with sharp edges that quickly cut the monofilament.
