From protective film to ICT
Leaderfins initially has managed to offer a very wide range of design fins with great graphics utilizing adhesive films on the blades. Such a solution has the advantage of colouring the blades with very net colours, and also of protecting the glass fiber material in case of shocks against rocks or other objects. On the contrary, the films tend to slightly reduce the performance of the fins interacting with the bending and comeback of the blades.
More recently, Leaderfins has launched another design technique, which complements the one with films, and this is the ICT, Imbedded Colour Technique. This solution is, in our opinion, an upgrade to the fins and does not determine an additional cost for the customer. The design is in fact obtained by an integration of the colours directly in the glass fiber, which gains the final design. No loss of performance at all is generated by this technique, and the designs that you can find on the Leaderfins website are amazing.
