With the new Cetma Pulse carbon fiber fins the Italian Company puts another great product on the market, with all the engineering design, production technology and know-how, and testing approach that only Cetma Composites can have. Let’s analize the fins we have just received, waiting for the Test of the Champion review.
Great materials for top reactivity

The first characteristic that Cetma Composites underlines about the new Pulse fins is the amazing reactivity. This is something we have immediately experienced just by bending them out of the water, amazing. This key characteristic, of course not sufficient to talk about general excellence of these fins, comes mainly from the choice of the material of the blade. The carbon fiber is a High Modulus, High resistance, hot melt Prepreg material, a very high quality solution. Just to make an example, it is similar to the world freediving record winners and Best Choice 2025 fins, the Cetma Taras. The reactivity makes the Cetma Lotus fins extremely agile, ideal for spearfishing in shallow and deep waters, but also very good in CWT.
100% engineered

The unique strength of Cetma Composites, its engineering knowledge and know-how, is totally present in the new Pulse fins. First of all the Zero Defect Fraction technology, which permits an aeronautical grade quality with no defects or air bubbles in the carbon fiber of the blade, avoiding any weak area and bringing performance to the maximum level. The FEM Enhanced Design applyed during the design phase permits to engineer the blades using the Finite Element Analysis, which, through the use of special computer softwares, generates the best base of the project to be then brought to testing. The OOT – Out-of-Autoclave Technology is another Cetma Composites’ proprietary manufacturing process. It allows the production of prepreg carbon-fibre blades without using a conventional autoclave. Through a controlled combination of temperature, pressure and vacuum, the process is designed to achieve uniform fibre/resin distribution, minimal internal voids and consistent mechanical performance throughout the blade. All this, with a 100% Made in Italy manufacturing process, that evidently offers maximum quality guarantee compared to carbon blades produced, for example, in Cina.

Dimensions, weight and carbon layers
The Cetma Pulse fins have a 66 cm long blade, which reaches a maximum width of 18.5 cm. The angle between the foot pocket and the blade is a very high 33°, today considered extremely efficient and comfortable for the diver.
The water rails are the classic solution by Cetma Composites with a variable height reaching its peak, 2 cm, where it is most important for stability, the tip of the blade. The flap is slightly concave to additionally control the fins lateral slide during the kick.

The weight of the blade is 260 grams, amongst the lightest carbon fiber blades on the market. The Cetma S-Wing size 43-44 weighs 610 grams, not particularly light, but definitely one of the first and more advanced foot pockets on the market in terms of force transmission from from the foot to the blade.

The layers of carbon fiber are carefully positioned and visible partially also externally. The surface of the blade shows a number of V shaped profile. At the same time the flap is clearly designed with a final thinner border of 2 cm.

Hyperbolic revolution in Soft, Medium and Hard

The special Hyperbolic Curvature of the Cetma Pulse fins aims to maximize thurst reducing the effort to the minimum. The Cetma Pulse fins are offered in Soft, Medium (up to 85 kgs of weight of the diver) and Hard (over 90kgs).
