Already seen around the web in some videos and presented by C4 Carbon, the new C4 PROTECH fins are the top ones of the Italian Company, and are 100% focused on performance. So, after the presentation and Test of the Champion of the fantastic C4 SPORTECH, great combination of performance, comfort and affordable price, especially in the glass fiber blade version, here are the top of the line fins by C4. These enter the segment of the World Record holders, the Cetma Taras and the Molchanovs PRO Hyper Bifins X Carbon. Let’s analyze them, and soon we will also publish a Test of the Champion. In the meantime, C4 Carbon needs also some strong athletes to show that the new C4 PROTECH can battle in the Olympus of the Gods!

Which use?

The new C4 PROTECH are not designed as multipurpose fins, nor as equipment for recreational users: they are precision tools aimed at athletes who master every detail of their kick, both in pool dynamics and deep diving. From the very first look, it is clear that these fins are engineered without compromise, with one main goal: maximum performance.

Materials

At the heart of the C4 PROTECH fins lies a T700 Pre-Preg carbon blade, a premium material known for its excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. The multilayer layup provides progressive and controlled energy return. The result indicated by C4 Carbon is a reactive, powerful blade with consistent behavior. The single Medium/Soft hardness ensures a smooth, continuous and technical kick, ideal for experienced athletes with advanced mobility and efficiency.

Design: 3D hydrodynamics and full monoblock construction

Design is where the C4 PROTECH takes a radical leap. The 3D-shaped geometry is the result of a study of water flow dynamics meant to follow the natural movement of the body and reduce drag. The images below show clearly how the foot pockets are carefully designed on both the lower and upper sides to flow and cut the water with great hydrodynamics.

The foot pocket is anatomically shaped with right/left distinction, removing pressure points, empty spaces, and micro-movements that waste energy. This permits to have performance fins which still ensure good comfort, and at the same time reduce to the minimum power loss during the transmission of the force from the foot to the blade.

Rounded water rails guide the water flow, while lateral stabilizers provide controlled buoyancy, maintaining trim consistency both in pool dynamics and deep-diving sessions. In fact, the C4 PROTECH fins actually float – are almost neutral in the pool and perfectly balanced.

The blade is permanently integrated into the foot pocket in a true monoblock structure, eliminating weak points and maximizing energy transmission.

Winning qualities: efficiency, precision, stability

The C4 PROTECH have a very clear identity: technical fins engineered for athletes who require absolute precision. Their standout qualities emerge from:

  • Advanced hydrodynamics that reduce resistance
  • Direct energy transmission via the monoblock system
  • Anatomical right/left foot pocket for zero dispersion
  • Rigid natural rubber for maximum responsiveness
  • Optimized buoyancy

These fins require and extremely narrow and efficient kick enhancing the technique of those athletes who already possess a refined and efficient kick.

Availability, pricing and store arrival

Distribution of the product in the stores will be gradual. The first size available (42/43) will arrive in the stores before Christmas 2025. From January 2026 the sizes 38/39 – 40/41 – 42/43 will be available. Finally, the full range, including 36/37 and 44/45, will arrive March 2026. The retail price of the C4 PROTECH fins is 600 euros for the pair.

Conclusion

The C4 PROTECH aim to enter the Temple of the Gods of competition freediving fins, and have all the elements to do so. The anatomical left and right natural rubber foot pockets, the use of high quality carbon fiber united with the classic high performance lateral stabilizers, and the special 3D design for hydrodynamic optimization, indicate that C4 Carbon has put all its effort in designing the best possible competition fins. We will soon give our indication in our Test of the Champion.
