We have presented the C4 Wolverine silicone fins and then have tested them at the amazing Y-40 with no less than Michele Tomasi, former record holder CWT in the lake, and Luciano Morelli, international Silver and Bronze medal DYN. Let’s see what they have told us about these new training fins.

Strong and heavy design

As already anticipated in the X-rays article, the C4 Wolverine Silicone fins have been designed to have strong structure able to avoid excessive flexion when, for example, coming up from deep dives. The additional weight and some fatigue needed compared to other similar products on the market is actually welcome. The idea is to have fins not used for performance, but for training. The effort and the continuous capacity to push of the C4 Wolverine in any condition trains correctly the muscles of the legs to prepare the athlete for competitions or simply challenging dives with longer fins.

Luciano Morelli

The new C4 Wolverine silicone fins are definitely challenging in Dynamic apnea in the pool. They stress the legs and need a good training to be used. They are surely not an entry level product. Of course the stress on the legs is good from a training point of view, even though in Dynamic apnea you feel them a lot.

In CWTB on the other hand the stiffness and weight of the C4 Wolverine has a much better impact making a great difference compared to other silicone short fins on the market. The exit from the dive at -42 meters is definitely good, and the stress on the legs is reduced. The restart from the bottom, thanks to a good stiffness of the blade, is very good and also the ascent phase feels safe and secure!”

Michele Tomasi

“Regarding the C4 Wolverine silicone fins, I would suggest them to athletes already with good experience. They are great for leg strengthening exercises. For example they are excellent in the pool for strengthening the muscles. In CWT they work well. Testing them at the Y-40, going down to -42 meters, the response was good as the structure of these silicone fins is tough enough to generate good thrust.

I have quite a narrow feet and I prefer to use the C4 Wolverine with a pair of neoprene socks.
