The roundup of artisan companies that will be present at this year’s EUDI Show, which will take place at the Bologna Fairgrounds from February 20 to 22, continues. An announced success, where the already excellent attendance of the 2025 edition will only grow thanks to the great participation of artisans, the beating heart of the fair. We interviewed Cristian Biccheddu, owner Abyssub, about his participation in EUDI and his booth.

Cristian Biccheddu – Abyssub – For Abyssub, theEUDI Show is one of the reference events for the world of freediving and spearfishing. It is a moment of meeting and comparison where innovation, sea culture and passion come together.
For us, it represents the ideal opportunity to present products designed for a market of excellence, the result of technical research, great attention to materials and, above all, direct listening to freedivers and freediving fishermen, who demand high performance, comfort and reliability in all conditions.
Apnea Passion Magazine – What new or key products, as well as any special offers, will you be presenting at the EUDI Show 2026?
Cristian Biccheddu – Abyssub – At theEUDI Show 2026, Abyssub will present a selection of key products that best represent our vision of excellence in the diving world.
In the foreground will be the Memory System smooth split wetsuits, designed to guarantee maximum adaptability, comfort and high performance in both freediving and spearfishing.
Next to these we will display the A-Pro freediving wetsuit, designed for freedivers who seek the right balance between technicality, versatility and reliability. Completing the proposal is the A-Pro hood, developed for technical diving, confirming Abyssub’s attention to even the most demanding contexts.
Dedicated EUDI conditions and offers reserved for visitors will also be available during the fair.
Apnea Passion Magazine – From a business perspective, what potential do you see in the EUDI Show, even in light of this year’s excellent numbers and the relaunch of the Apnea Village?
Cristian Biccheddu – Abyssub – In recent years, the spearfishing sector has been going through a phase of decline, a situation that is also reflected in its visibility within the fair. Although freediving is not declining, it still remains marginal compared to the overall exhibition context.
The re-launch of the Apnea Village planned for 2026 represents an important opportunity for Abyssub: it will allow us to present our products of excellence to a targeted audience, engage directly with enthusiasts and practitioners, and further strengthen our presence.
We believe that this initiative can contribute to enhancing the value of freediving and energize the entire industry.
