We have presented the new Sigalsub Tsunami fins in our x-rays article. Great perceived quality, the job done by Sigalsub Product Manager, Andrea Madeddu, is great. Of course Sigalsub is not a producer of foot pockets and even less of carbon fiber fins blades. So Andrea has to find the best compromise selecting a great level of foot pockets, rebranding the H.Dessault 350 by C4 Carbon, and selecting the best possible Chinese blades, which today have reached a level of quality totally unexpected, and somehow close to very good European product.
Great push in vertical dives

Probably due to the fact that the enormous number of athletes in the Sigalsub Team, (still though missing an Italian or international title), have led the testing, and they all spearfish deep, the Sigalsub Tsunami fins have a great thrust in vertical dives. On the other hand, they do require very fit divers as they also tire the legs a bit, at least in the Soft version we have tested.
Probably the Super Soft solution would be better, but a fin should be comfortable almost in any stiffness, and not solve the problem going down to Super Soft. Apparently, the area just in front of the foot pocket has been set too stiff, also to insure reliability in the most critical part of any blade, and this leads to the Sigalsub Tsunami fins being a little bit tiring. Still, the thrust is great, so they are very good for trained athletes.
Surface transfers are not their world
Claudio Marconcini, our super technical athlete, has tried the Sigalsub Tsunami fins also diving from the shore. Indeed, the sea was not calm. He found the fins well made, and comfortable foot pockets. Still, his legs were far too tired at the end of a couple of hours in the sea. “The fins made my legs tired, and this is not something that should happen. The push was good, and the sea was not in easy conditions, but the Soft version of the Sigalsub Tsunami was too tiring for me. Maybe a Super Soft would be better.” Apparently Sigasub should review the stiffness scale of their fins, considering that Claudio is a fit and strong athlete.
