The pad consists of an oval-shaped element made from hard yet flexible rubber. It measures 26.7 cm in height and 14.7 cm in width, with a substantial thickness of 1.2 cm. The combination of its generous surface area, considerable thickness and firm rubber construction distributes the pressure across the chest, reducing discomfort when loading long spearguns fitted with thick and powerful rubber bands.
Its large dimensions also make it easier to position the speargun butt correctly, even when loading quickly or in demanding sea conditions.
Special anti-slip design
A reliable chest pad must not only protect the diver but also prevent the speargun butt from slipping during loading. Rubber already offers natural grip, but Pescador Sub has further improved the upper surface by adding raised elements.
These embossed sections increase friction between the pad and the speargun butt, helping to keep it stable throughout the loading process. At the same time, their design gives the thick pad greater flexibility, allowing it to adapt more comfortably to the shape of the chest.
Grip is equally important on the underside. The Pescador Sub chest pad must remain correctly positioned whether it is worn over a wetsuit or directly against the skin. Its inner surface therefore features multiple holes, each measuring approximately 9 mm in diameter. These generate a suction effect that improves adherence and prevents the pad from slipping out of position.
Almost neutral buoyancy

The Pescador Sub chest pad is simple to wear and can be adjusted to different body shapes. One nylon strap passes around the neck and allows the user to set the correct vertical position of the pad on the chest.
A second adjustable nylon strap goes around the torso, keeping the pad securely in place. An additional elastic section improves adherence, follows the diver’s movements and increases comfort without creating excessive pressure.
