The podium
Team Tortugas with Giacomo Brunetta, David Croselli and Marco Segarich won the 2° edition of the international spearfishing competition Cup of Istria, that was held in aquatorium of Porec, Rovinj and Novigrad in Croatia, and organized by Granda Sub and Marino Reinic.
Team Tortuga, last year positioned second, caught one conger and eight fish: two wrasses, one brown meagre, two forkbeards, one mullet and two sea basses that brought them 14445 points.
Just 75 points less had Team Luben Rijeka, made by Boris Reinic, Dario Babic and Aleksandar Tomic.
Luben Rijeka caught a fish worth 14370 points and on the weighing had five congers, two forkbeards and three rainbow wrasses.
The third place among 22 teams from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro has been conquered by the mixed team of club Udica from Mali Losinj and club Erik Radin from Novigrad, composed by Dino Busanić, Antonio Viskić and Danijel Zupanic, with 12455 points.
Team Udica – Erik Radin on weighing brought three congers, one sea bass, one white seabream, a mullet and a wrasse.

Special prizes
Dino Busanić got a special award for the heaviest catch, a conger of 5440 grams, while the most valuable fish, a sea bass of 1430 grams, was captured by Angelo Ascione from Lopa team.
Videos, sea conditions and organization
Sea conditions have been bad, with strong south wind, waves, rain and poor visibility in the water, which has led in fewer catches than expected.

Marino Reinic, David Pocekaj and the responsible judge Eros Soric, made sure that everything proceeded in the best professional way.
In the end not only the first three teams, but all participants travelled home with very nice sponsorship prizes.
