1. Introduction

Of generous dimensions, but still below the Cressi Borg, the Cressi Vigo has similar characteristics to its bigger brother, generous blade, anatomical soft grip and rigid sheath, for use especially on the calf.

The handle

Of grey and black color and “soft-grip” solution, with a curved slightly anatomical grip that permits well to determine the position of the knife and blade without looking, but simply feeling it with the hand, the handle of the Cressi Vigo has good dimensions for best control. 110 mm long, 40 mm max-width and 23 mm thick, the handle is extremely simple and one piece with the internal steel part.

The material of the handle is acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS – black part) and Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR – grey part).

The blade

Of medium to generous dimensions, the blade has one sharp profile which is straight and the other partially serrated with constant toothing. A quick line cutter is present. Dimensions of the blade are 115 mm long, 25 mm max-width and 3 mm thick. The length of the sharp straight profile is 105 mm. The material of the blade is 401 stainless steel, with a polished surface so that the rust production is limited to the minimum.

The sheath

The sheath of the Cressi Vigo is made of rigid black acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) 187 mm long. In its rear part, it has a wider passage for the rubber strap or for the weight belt, and a smaller one for only the rubber strap, as the best position for the Cressi Vigo is definitely the calf, with the two rubber straps included with the knife, and secondarily the weight belt. This is also due to the not extremely compact dimensions of the knife plus sheath, equal to 243 mm of length.

The locking system of the knife in the sheath is made of a plastic button with a spring positioned directly on the handle of the Cressi Vigo.
